Ekiti revenue crisis : Reactions trail allegation of being withheld

Reactions have continued to trail the allegation levelled against the Federal Government by Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State over the January statutory allocation of the state.
Meanwhile, Ayo Fayose said the federal ministry of finance has reversed it’s decision over the 1 billion budget support facility for January. The governor confirmed on Friday that he has received an official communication from the ministry.

Fayose maintained in a recording which was sent to a section of the media that the federal allocation and budget support fund of the state for January were not released.

Reacting to the development, an aspirant of the main opposition party in the state said the Governor deliberately misinformed the people on the issue.

But the NLC Chairman in the state took side with the Governor.

Meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of Finance has issued a statement to say that only the Budget Support Fund was withheld following the failure of Ekiti State Government to adhere to the conditions attached to the loan.
