NUPENG demands improved working conditions

The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers has warned the federal government against contemplating an increase in the pump price of petrol.
The president of the union Igwe Achese says this will mean an increase in the suffering of the masses.

The union also threatened to go on an indefinite strike if the poor working conditions of petroleum workers are not urgently addressed by the federal government.

NUPENG in a press conference talked about issues ranging from the pending petroleum industry bill to tanker driver’s working condition and the bad shape of refineries in the country.
