TVC E. There has been an accident at Otedola bridge outward toll gate,this Saturday morning at about 7:15 am which left one dead and others injured.
“A blue coloured Hilux truck with Registration number FST 356 XS and a truck with registration FKJ 519 CF were involved,” an officer of the Lagos Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) said.
Reports say one of the drivers lost control of his vehicle when a Toyota picnic suddenly applied break and screeched to another lane.
The intervention of a LASEMA Emergency Response Team led to the rescue of an adult male and the extrication of an unidentified person.
Victims were treated by LASAMBUS at the scene and the dead body was taken away by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
As at the time of compiling this report, evacuation of the affected vehicles had been concluded.
General Manager LASEMA, Mr Michael Akindele, took the opportunity to advised motorists not to overspeed and also to adhere to safety precautions while driving.
