Goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai has said Enyimba will build on their 2-1 win at Kano Pillars on Wednesday when they host Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.
The People’s Elephant got their first Premier League win in Kano when they came from behind to defeat their hosts in a rescheduled league match.
Afelokhai told our correspondent during the week that the win would spur them on to a good run in the league and prepare them for their continental task.
“It was a tough game against Pillars on Wednesday but I am glad we got the win,” he said.
“Returning to Kano and playing against my former team wasn’t easy but the victory showed we have character. It will help us in our next game because it was our first win on the road in the league this season.
