More than 16,000 teachers to undergo upskill programs

More than sixteen thousand teachers across Nigeria are set to undergo an upskilling training in November this year.
The National Teachers Institute says the training would focus on Sustainable Development Goals.

Director General of the NTI says over seven hundred thousand teachers have undergone several upskilling programs at different times which has robbed off well on their careers.

Addressing newsmen in Kaduna state – northwest Nigeria, the NTI boss noted that the institute is partnering the National Open University, and the National Commission for Colleges of Education on improved infrastructure and standards in schools nationwide.

Officials from the various institutions are now on a facility tour of educational institutions across the country.

They would be expected to put together a report, which is hoped to be implemented.
