The need for Nigerian government to support investment in rice production has been re-echoed The Young Nigerian Agriculturists atan event in Lagos emphasized the need for governments at all levels to make investments in Agriculture a priority.
They believe that with the right investments, especially, in rice production, Nigeria can produce enough tonnes of it and reduce imports from Thailand and Vietnam.
They call on government to ensure that interventions from its agencies get to farmers in the rural areas.
