Barcelona signs Philippe Coutinho

La Liga giants announced on Saturday that they have finally ended the transfer saga of Brazilian hit man, Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona made the annoucement on their social media platforms after Anfield bosses conceded defeat in their attempt to keep the 25-year-old.

Now the move is set to be finalised subject to a medical and personal terms and Coutinho will have a 400million Euro (£355m) buyout clause.

It is understood that the Catalans will pay £106m upfront, with a further £44m to follow depending on appearances and team success.

This is the second-most expensive transfer of all-time, trailing the £198million PSG paid for Neymar to Barcelona  last summer – and it is the highest transfer fee ever received by an English Football club for a player. The Mirro reports.

Coutinho will put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal and is expected to be unveiled this week.

Coutinho joined Liverpool for £8million five years ago, and with the close of this deal, it’s a big profit for the Reds .
