Nollywood star Funke Akindele has responded to claims of underpaying actor and skit maker Ijoba Lande, who alleged he received only ₦90,000 for a month-long role on her project. In a candid interview with Chude Jideonwo, Akindele clarified that she doesn’t personally know Lande, stating he was paid for his role and left after filming.
The actress also opened up about dealing with overwhelming personal issues, including her mother’s death, failed marriage, and political loss. She revealed how the controversy deeply affected her, leading to an emotional breakdown. Lande has since apologized and corrected his statement, confirming he was paid ₦190,000.
