NNPC warns public against false recruitment invites

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has warned the general public to be weary of scam emails from fraudsters inviting them for a second process of recruitment.

The Group General Manager of NNPC, Mr. Ohi Alegbe asked the public not to pay any attention to letters or emails emanating from fraudsters inviting them for a second process of assessment.

This warning came in a statement issued by him on Sunday the 21st, 2016 in Abuja and quoted Alegbe, cautioning the public to be wary of fraudsters sending letters to unsuspecting individuals inviting them for “the second process of recruitment.”

He said this was a scam and asked the public to beware as there was no current recruitment exercise going on by the corporation.

Alegbe advised and urged the public not to pay attention to anyone directing them to pay the sum of N21,500 into an account with Zenith Bank, saying “anyone who entertains such invitations or deals with peddlers of such invitations does so at his or her own risk.”

Mr. Ohi Alegbe also advised that any one approached for such purported recruitment by the Corporation should report such persons to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
