TVC E, SPORTS – Top football stars like Wayne Rooney, Samuel Eto’O and Yaya Toure are expected to storm Port Harcourt in May for a testimonial game in honour of former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo.
Tagged ‘The Joseph Yobo Centenary Game,’ the encounter is being put together by the Joseph Yobo Foundation in partnership with the Rivers State Government.
The former Everton defender will also on the same day officially launch his foundation.
The foundation which started in 2007 was set up to help the underprivileged.
The now retired centre-back was capped 100 times by Nigeria and represented the three-time African champions at three FIFA World Cups and six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
