Peter Okoye (Mr. P) has sparked debate online after claiming that fans played a major role in the split of iconic music duo, Psquare. Speaking at comedian AY’s live show, Peter said constant comparisons and favoritism between him and his twin brother Paul (Rudeboy) caused ego clashes that tore the group apart.
“Fans are the reason Psquare no dey together today,” he stated in a now-viral clip, adding that the pressure led to misbehavior and division.
While some fans support his take, others believe he’s deflecting from deeper family issues. Psquare, known for hits like Bizzy Body and Personally, briefly reunited in 2021 but tensions—especially involving their brother and former manager Jude Okoye—persist.
Peter also recently made headlines for allegedly testifying against Jude in a ₦1.38 billion fraud case, keeping the family’s internal drama in the spotlight.
